the wounds in your heart never seem to heal
I thought all I needed was to be there
for you
I believed I only needed to be true
to you

but now I find
the knife cut deeper
than anyone thought possible
slowly you are ebbing away
drifting to some unknown place
that I can never reach

I'm losing you
and there's nothing I can do
